Acceptable Use Policy (UK)

1. INTRODUCTION

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules for using the website, services, and related systems provided by Quadris Limited (“Ossea”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) trading as Ossea. It applies to all users and visitors.

By accessing or using Ossea’s website or community platform, you agree to comply with this AUP. This AUP does not apply to services or products which you may purchase from Ossea and which are covered by our Trading Terms and Conditions.

2. ABUSE

You must not use Ossea’s website or services to engage in, foster, or promote illegal, abusive, or irresponsible behaviour. This includes:

  • Unauthorized access to data, systems, or networks
  • Attempting to test or bypass any security or authentication measures without permission
  • Monitoring or intercepting data not intended for you
  • Introducing or distributing viruses, malware, or other harmful code
  • Collecting personal information by deception, phishing, or similar methods
  • Misuse of network identifiers or headers in communications
  • Conducting denial of service (DoS) attacks or similar interference
  • Using false or misleading information to disguise your identity
  • Any conduct that could damage or disrupt Ossea’s systems or reputation

3. Offensive or Unlawful Content

You must not publish, upload, transmit, or store any material that:

  • Promotes or relates to child exploitation, sexual abuse, or non-consensual activity
  • Incites or threatens violence, hatred, or discrimination
  • Is defamatory, fraudulent, or invasive of another person’s privacy
  • Is likely to cause harm, distress, or public safety risks
  • Misleads users or constitutes unfair or deceptive commercial practice

Ossea reserves the right to remove or disable access to any material we reasonably believe breaches this Policy or applicable law.

4. Security and Network Integrity

You must not interfere with or disrupt any part of Ossea’s systems, servers, or networks. Examples include:

  • Attempting to probe or scan for vulnerabilities
  • Overloading systems or deliberately degrading performance
  • Circumventing authentication or access controls
  • Using automated tools or bots to gain unauthorized access

You must take reasonable measures to keep your own systems secure, including maintaining updated software, antivirus protection, and strong passwords.

5. Email and Electronic Communications

If you send emails or other electronic messages through our systems, you must:

  • Only send messages to recipients who have given consent
  • Clearly identify yourself as the sender
  • Provide a simple way for recipients to opt out of future communications
  • Not disguise or falsify email headers or origin information
  • Comply with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR)

Unsolicited or bulk email (spam) is strictly prohibited.

You must not use Ossea’s services in any way that infringes the intellectual property rights of others. This includes:

  • Downloading, sharing, or distributing copyrighted works without permission
  • Using trademarks, logos, or trade secrets without authorization
  • Publishing or encouraging others to bypass copyright protection measures

Ossea may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe others’ rights.

You must comply with the rules and acceptable use terms of any third-party platform or service you access through Ossea’s website or integrations. We are not responsible for the content or conduct of external sites.

8. Data Protection

You must not use Ossea’s systems to collect or process personal data in violation of the UK GDPR or the Data Protection Act 2018. All processing of personal data must be lawful, transparent, and limited to legitimate purposes.

9. Security of Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

You must notify us immediately at legal@ossea.com if you believe your account has been compromised or used without authorization.

10. Consequences of Breach

If you breach this Acceptable Use Policy, Ossea may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Issue a warning
  • Remove or restrict access to offending material
  • Temporarily suspend or permanently terminate your account or access to services
  • Report unlawful activities to relevant authorities
  • Take legal action to recover costs or damages arising from your breach

No compensation or credit will be provided for any service suspension or loss resulting from a breach of this Policy.

11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted on our website, and the “Last Updated” date will be revised accordingly. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.

12. GOVERNING LAW

This Acceptable Use Policy and any dispute arising from it are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.
